Day Program / Centre for Learning

The Day Program provides training for adults with developmental disabilities. This training promotes growth and independence in the areas of vocational skills, personal development, and recreation and leisure pursuits. This program is currently serving over 210 adults with developmental disabilities. Programs are offered in Sherwood Park and Fort Saskatchewan. Funding for the Day Program is primarily provided by the Persons With Developmental Disabilities Program (PDD).

Community Access

Community-based activites include recreation, leisure, educational and employment opportunities.

Residential Services

The Residential Services program provides supervision, training and support for adults with disabilities. A wide range of residential options are available. Respite care for adults with disabilities is also provided with the assistance of families in the community. This program currently serves 139 clients in 37 group homes (34 in Sherwood Park and 3 in Fort Saskatchewan). Over 55 adults with disabilities are also supported in the Outreach program. Residential Services are primarily funded through Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH).

The Robin Hood Association is a major affordable housing provider in Strathcona County.

Resource Services

The Resource Unit provides therapy, consultation and education for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Professionals on the Resource Team include speech, occupational and physio therapists, dietician and Behavioral Management training and support.

Transportation Services

The Robin Hood Association provides an accessible, cost-effective and personalized transportation service to persons with disabilities served by the Robin Hood Association. Our goal is to break down accessibility barriers and provide greater opportunities for people to participate fully in the activities they choose. This includes travel to work, volunteer and educational placements, medical appointments, recreational activities and various churches within the community.

The transportation fleet consists of 12 vehicles. User fees and donations from our community assist in sustaining Transportation Services.
