The Robin Hood Association is a multi-faceted organization that provides many services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We make frequent requests for support to service groups, local businesses, granting agencies and the public.
The Target the Hood campaign provides an opportunity for families and friends to show their support. This campaign is one of our most economical fundraising initiatives, costing less than $1,000 to administer.
This year, we are asking our families and friends to target three priorities:
1. Upgrades to Residential Homes. Robin Hood owns 37 group homes, serving 160 individuals. As with any home, these residences require regular maintenance and renovations. Our room and board rates are well below market rates, so funds for maintenance are very limited.
2. Development of a Children’s Respite Facility. Plans are in the works to convert the existing space next to Residence 1 into the only accessible respite facility in Sherwood Park.
3. New Day Program Space in Fort Saskatchewan. We have leased a 2550 square foot space in Fort Saskatchewan. It will be used as a day program for 23 individuals. This space requires leasehold improvements.
Robin Hood Association’s fundraising goal for this year’s Target the Hood Campaign is $70,000. Please help us reach our goal by making a donation. Your gift will make a difference.
