Where things stand

Our campaign progress reflects the power of community support, public investment, and RHA’s own contributions — strengthening the spaces that empower children and adults with developmental disabilities, and creating welcoming places for community connection.

Hear from Ann Marie LePan, CEO of RHA, as she shares why The Empowerment Project is crucial for restoring and revitalizing facilities that empower individuals with diverse abilities.

A Bold Step Forward

At Robin Hood Association (RHA), we are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where individuals with developmental disabilities can thrive. To continue providing the quality care our community relies on, we've launched The Empowerment Project, with an ambitious goal to raise $4 million over three years (November 2024 - November 2027).

At the heart of this project is the urgent rehabilitation of RHA Broadway, our most critical and costly undertaking. This facility, which serves over 100 individuals daily, is essential for delivering programs and services that foster independence and inclusion. As the building approaches 30 years of age and has suffered significant water damage due to structural issues, its rehabilitation is crucial to ensuring safety and functionality for the future.

Why RHA Broadway Matters

RHA Broadway is a lifeline for individuals with disabilities and their families. The facility provides critical day services, but urgent repairs are needed to address structural issues, age-related deterioration, and accessibility barriers.

The RHA Broadway Rehabilitation Project will:

  • Restore Structural Integrity: Major repairs to the roof, walls, and exterior to resolve water damage.

  • Enhance Accessibility: Install automatic doors and improved entryways for barrier-free access.

  • Improve Energy Efficiency: Upgrades to reduce operating costs and reinvest savings into services.

  • Boost Safety and Security: Enhanced measures to protect the community and ensure a safe environment.

Your support will help preserve essential services that enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.

Supporting Other Capital Improvements and Operational Needs

While RHA Broadway is our primary focus, we also aim to maintain and upgrade our other facilities, including the Children & Youth Community Centre, Aspen Village, and shared homes. In addition to capital upgrades, donations will support other general expenses necessary for the operations of the Association.

Your contribution will enable us to address critical repairs, ongoing maintenance, and operational needs, ensuring we can continue delivering high-quality services to approximately 350 adults and 414 children and their families.

A Call to Action: Invest in Empowerment

The Empowerment Project represents an opportunity to invest in the future of a facility that has long been a source of hope and inclusion.

Your generosity will help us revitalize RHA Broadway and ensure our facilities remain strong, secure, and ready to serve our community for years to come.

Donate today to support The Empowerment Project and be part of a transformative journey. Together, we will empower individuals to live their best lives.

Thank you for your support!
