For 19 incredible seasons, James was a valued part of the Sherwood Park Crusaders family.
Since joining the organization in 2007 as Locker Room Attendant, James brought pride, consistency, and dedication to every season. Working behind the scenes, he played an essential role in supporting the team by preparing jerseys, laundering gear, restocking supplies, filling water bottles, and stepping in wherever help was needed. His work helped ensure players and coaches could focus on the game, knowing everything was ready.
After officially retiring on March 26, 2026, the Crusaders celebrated James’ remarkable 19-year legacy with a special ceremonial puck drop on March 28. It was a meaningful tribute to someone who has given so much to the organization and its athletes over nearly two decades.
Beyond the work itself, James is deeply appreciated for his humility, kindness, and the strong relationships he built with players and coaches throughout the years. He became a respected and valued part of the team’s culture, leaving a lasting impact both on and off the ice.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to James for his years of dedication and wish him all the best in this exciting next chapter of retirement.
