The 8th Annual Damon Bunting Charity Classic: A Record-Breaking Day of Golf, Giving, and Community

ree

The 8th Annual Damon Bunting Charity Classic (DBCC) was one to remember! On Thursday, August 28, golfers hit the greens at Broadmoor Golf Course under a blazing sun—it was an intensely hot summer day that called for extra water breaks and plenty of shade, but the energy and enthusiasm never dipped. From the first tee-off to the last putt, the spirit of community and generosity shone even brighter than the weather.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, golfers, and volunteers, this year’s tournament raised a record-breaking $38,368.86. That brings our all-time total to an amazing $186,319.90! Every dollar helps create opportunities for kids and teens at RHA to grow, learn, and thrive.

Our fundraising power was amplified once again through Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, which matches donations up to 50%. That means the day’s efforts stretched even further to create lasting impact for families in our community.

A Tournament Like No Other

Before tee-off, sponsors and players gathered at Damon’s home, where The Keg Sherwood Park served up a relaxed backyard lunch to kick off the day. After the round, everyone returned for the legendary DBCC After-Party, featuring a next-level steak and lobster dinner by The Keg, a buzzing silent auction, 50/50 draw, live music, prizes, and—of course—karaoke. This tradition has become part of DBCC lore!

The day had all the hallmarks of the DBCC—friendly competition, generosity, and the kind of community spirit that makes this tournament so special.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to our Sponsors:

And of course, a huge thank you to our silent auction donors, volunteers, and everyone who pitched in to make this year’s DBCC the best one yet!

Driving Change, Together

The 8th annual Damon Bunting Charity Classic combined golf, laughter, and generosity in a way only DBCC can, turning time on the course and shared moments into real opportunities for children and youth with disabilities.
