Major Milestone: $510K Provincial Investment Supports RHA Broadway Upgrades

Updated: Mar 26

We’re excited to share some great news, our Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant application has been approved!

The Government of Alberta has committed $510,310 toward essential upgrades at RHA Broadway.

Supporting more than 100 individuals every day, the building is nearing 30 years old and is facing significant water damage and structural challenges. These upgrades are critical to ensuring the space remains safe, accessible, and sustainable for years to come.

This work is part of our broader Empowerment Project, our three-year, $4 million initiative to revitalize and strengthen key RHA facilities and programs. With the support of our community and corporate donors, fundraising events, the sale of three RHA homes, and now this provincial investment, we’ve raised nearly $2.3 million, more than halfway to our goal.

Since launching the Empowerment Project, this has been an incredible journey. From the proceeds of Sledge Hockey Day 2025 to the funds raised through our first-ever Light the Way event, every contribution—big or small—has played a meaningful role in reaching this milestone.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who wrote letters of support for our application, and to every staff member, partner, and supporter who has helped move this work forward. You are helping strengthen the places where people belong.
